(REGNUM) - US President George Bush has hailed reports on killing of Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev. If he is in fact the person who ordered the killing of children in Beslan, he deserved it, Bush is quoted as saying to the press on July 10, reports Trend.
At the same time, the US president reported that his administration still continued gathering details on the reported killing of Basayev. Earlier, White House officials said they had no independent proofs of Basayev death.
