Turkish doctors open hospital in northern Iraq

(Cihan) - Turkish doctors have opened a hospital in northern Iraqi city of Arbil, which is unique in terms of the equipment and services it offers.

SEMA hospital and Laser Eye Centre was inaugurated at the Doctor's Street in the city with the participation of local officials and hospital staff on Wednesday. The hospital will provide eye surgeries not available before, reports Trend.

Dr. Ali Colak, Chief Doctor of the hospital, gave the good news of the operations available at the hospital. Northern Iraqis will no longer be obliged to go abroad for Excimer Laser, wave-front and other eye surgeries, he remarked.

The center is designed after examples from Europe and America. Having been divided in branches, it is the first hospital of such design in Iraq.

Chief Doctor also added that they, the Turkish entrepreneur doctors, wished to contribute to the restructure of the country.

Arbil Governor Nawzat Hadi was also present at the opening ceremony.

The hospital with the investment of approximately US$2 million is built on 1,500 square meters. The hospital offers a five-star service with its dynamic and professional staff.
