Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that his country is capable playing an effective role in improving Georgia’s infrastructure.

Addressing a conference on economic ties between Iran and Georgia in Tbilisi, Zarif said that Iran enjoys proper capabilities in agricultural and scientific spheres, IRNA news agency reported.

Zarif further called for expansion of bilateral ties with Georgia saying that proper opportunities exist for benefiting the two countries from expansion of cooperation.

Zarif has arrived in Georgia as part of his regional tour to the Caucasus and Central Asia aimed at expansion of regional cooperation.

He has already visited Turkmenistan and his next destination will be Kyrgyzstan.
