The Division of Railway Transportation of Iran’s giant holding MAPNA Group is eying markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Bangladesh.

Recently the company has started to consider exports and has already conducted some preliminary steps about these markets, the division’s Marketing and Sales Director Reza Javaheri told Trend May 16.

MAPNA Group is a group of Iranian companies involved in development and execution of thermal and renewable power, oil & gas, railway transportation and other industrial projects as well as manufacturing main equipment including gas and steam turbines, electrical generator, turbine blade and vane, HRSG and conventional boilers, electric and control systems, gas compressor, locomotive and other pertinent equipment.

The Division of Railway Transportation has already conducted major projects in Iran and is now involved in producing diesel electric locomotives in cooperation with the German company Siemens, producing other types of electric and diesel locomotives, production of rail equipment, as well as providing maintenance services in the rail industry.
