Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on Oct. 23

Gold coin was traded at 12,993,000 rials (about $324.5 according to the currency rate in free market) on Monday in Iranian market, indicating a 0.22 percent surge compared to Sunday.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,220,810 rials (about $30.5), 0.32 percent more compared to the preceding day.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 47,513 rials in the free market gaining 164 rials compared to the preceding day. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 40,429 rials.

The US dollar lost 19 rials to post 40,038 rials in the free market. The CBI put the official rate for the greenback at 34,341 rials.
