New foreign investors enter Iran’s capital market

Iran's Central Securities Depository has issued 19 new codes for foreign shareholders.

Head of the Central Securities Depository Mohammadreza Mohseni has said that 10 natural persons from the Netherlands and Afghanistan went through the legal procedures to receive trading codes over the past month, the state-owned news channel IRINN reported.

In the meantime, nine legal persons from Afghanistan, the UAE, Georgia, Italy and Oman received trading codes.

According to the official, the number of foreign legal persons in the country’s capital market has reached 232.

In general, 954 foreign shareholders are trading in the Iranian capital market.
