Transit of freight through Iran saw growth

The volume of goods transit through Iran has increased by 13 percent over the first nine months of the current fiscal year

The volume of goods transit through Iran has increased by 13 percent over the first nine months of the current fiscal year (starting March 21).

Hossein Salari, an official with the customs administration of Iran, has said that 541,988 trucks have crossed through the customs checkpoints of the country in the mentioned period.

According to official website of the customs administration of Iran, these amounts of trucks carried about 14.805 million tons of goods which have increased by nine percent compared to the same period of time last year.

In the meantime, the volume of foreign transit goods has reached 8.267 million tons indicating an increase of 13 percent.
