Minerals worth $15M exported from Iran’s Hormozgan Province

As many as 908,833 tons of mining minerals worth $15 million were exported from Iran’s Hormozgan Province in the first six months of this Iranian year (started March 21), said Ebrahim Saidini, deputy for mining and mining industry at the Hormozgan Industries, Mining and Trade Organization.

He noted that minerals, mainly gypsum, gypsum powder, cement and micronized powders were mainly exported to the UAE, Qatar, Bangladesh and Africa.

He added that during six months, 22 licenses have been issued for operations in the mining industry in the Hormozgan Province.

“There are more than 6,000 workers in 438 mining industries,” he said.
