Iran exports leather to several countries, including Afghanistan and Iraq, Said Hayati, chairman of the Iranian Association of Natural and Artificial Leather Goods, said.
Iran has a lot of customers who buy natural leather, Hayati added, Trend reports to the Young Journalists Club (YJC).
He added that there is a lack of raw materials in the natural leather market.
Many people prefer natural leather in Iran, however, they have to buy artificial leather because of high price for natural leather, Hayati said.
