Iran will increase the volume of refined crude oil from 1.7 million barrels per day to about 1.9 million barrels per day, Iran's Deputy Oil Minister and Executive Director of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) Alireza Sadeghabadi said.
Along with crude oil refining process, Iran will increase gas condensate refining from 450,000 barrels per day to 500,000 barrels per day, Sadeghabadi added, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
The production capacity of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery has increased from 360,000 barrels to 400,000 barrels, he stressed.
Sadeghabadi added that next month the production capacity at the refinery will reach 420,000 barrels per day and 450,000 barrels during the first month in autumn.
The production capacity will reach 480,000 barrels per day after the refinery purchases the required equipment till the end of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), he added.
