President Hassan Rouhani is to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on Tuesday, Head of the public relations department of Iran's presidential office Parviz Esmaili said on Sunday, IRNA reported.
The two day official visit will takes place at the official invitation of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Esmaili said.
The official ceremony will be held on Wednesday at the presidential palace, he said.
After the meeting between the two presidents, the two sides' high ranking delegations will sign MoU on expansion of mutual cooperation and partake in a joint press conference, he said.
Two presidents are schedule to plant a sapling to mark friendship between the two nations, he said.
The presidents will also receive Iranian and Turkmen businessmen and traders, Esmaili said.
The Turkmen president will host a banquet in honor of his Iranian counterpart, he said.
President Rouhani and his companions will return to Tehran Wednesday evening.
