Senior officers among dead in police plane crash in Iran

Iran's chief of police Esmaeil Ahmadi Moghadam confirmed that one of the police forces' planes crashed near southern Zahedan city of the country on October 11.

"The plane left Tehran for Zahedan at 17:45 local time (GMT+3:30) and disappeared from radar at 21:00," Iran's ISNA news agency quoted Ahmadi Moghadam as saying Oct. 12.

Four senior police officers, including Police Deputy Chief for Investigation Affairs, General Mahmoud Sadeghi were among the seven persons who were killed in the incident.

"The wreckage was found on Oct.12 morning and the bodies are in fairly good condition," he said.

The police officers were traveling to Sistan-Baluchistan province to investigate recent attacks as a result of which, four members of Iran's security forces were killed.
