Border guards of Iran’s north-eastern Razavi Khorasan and South Khorasan provinces have seized about one ton of drugs, Head of Razavi Khorasan Border Service Masallah Jannesar said.
The border guards of the two provinces conducted joint operations, Jannesar added, Trend reports referring to Fars News Agency.
He said that as a result of the operation, 943 kilograms of opium, 46 kilograms of hashish and one gun were revealed.
Razavi Khorasan province is located on the border with Turkmenistan and Afghanistan while South Khorasan province - on the border with Afghanistan.
