Romania has economic and energy interests in Azerbaijan, and the other factors are resultant from it, Romanian Ambassador to Armenia Crina Prunariu told Armenian journalists, Tert.am reported.
As regards the position of NATO and, particularly, of Romania, on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, she said that the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is most important for the region. However, NATO has repeatedly stated the issue is not within its frame of reference. Romania seeks to maintain political balance in its relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ambassador Prunariu said.
