Georgian Government Appoints New Personnel

Georgia, Tbilisi / Тrend corr N. Kirtskhalia / The new Georgian Parliament has appointed personnel within the Government.

Georgian Alexander Kvitashvili, who has been residing in the United States for recent 10 years has been appointed, the Georgian Prime Minister Vladimir Gurgenidze said on air of the Rustavi 2 TV Channel. "He is a professional who is returning home and will assist us in Government", Gurgenidze said, although he did not specify which position Kvitashvili would be appointed.

Georgiy Arveladze, the Economic Minister, is said to leave Government and will return to private business, the Prime Minister said. He did not divulge any other expected changes.

Gurgenidze responded very negatively at the suggestion that the Ministry for Labour, Health and Social Protection would be split up.
