German FM to visit Georgia

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will visit Tbilisi on March 15 within his Transcaucasia tour, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a news briefing on Monday.
Westerwelle will meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze.
"This visit coincides with the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Germany, and emphasizes an intense relations between the two countries. We have special attitude to Germany, because it was the first state recognizing Georgia's independence. We face a number of external challenges, on which we will inform the German side about our vision, and we hope for their support," Kalandadze said.
