The president of Georgia's National Bank, Giorgi Kadagidze received a delegation of the People's Bank of China on Wednesday.
The guests got acquainted with the functions of the Georgian securities market and its investment opportunities, Georgia's National Bank told Trend.
The Chinese side expressed its readiness to sign an agreement on lari/yuan currency swaps, between Georgia's National Bank and the People's Bank of China.
The guests got acquainted with the situation in the Georgian bank sector and supervisory policy of the National Bank.
The visit of the president of the People's Bank of China and an official Chinese delegation to Georgia was also scheduled at the meeting. The delegation will arrive in Tbilisi in September.
The signing of a cooperation agreement between the People's Bank of China and the National Bank of Georgia will be held at the meeting after reaching a final agreement on currency swaps.
