Georgian President calls on Azerbaijanis of Marneuli to make right choice

Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili spoke to residents of Algeti in the Marneuli region, which is populated by ethnic Azerbaijanis. He was accompanied by the governor of the Kvemo Kartli region, David Kirkitadze and majoritarian MP from the United National Movement, Azer Suleymanov.

Mikheil Saakashvili called on residents of Marneuli region to make the right choice at the presidential election, to be held on October 27.

The Georgian President reminded voters in Marneuli about the successes achieved by the United National Movement.

"We have achieved civil peace in Georgia," Saakashvili said.

He went on to add that he is the president of Georgia, of all Georgians and people of every ethnicity, including Azerbaijanis living in Georgia.

"I am proud that I have done everything for our young people to get a good education, I did everything for you not to be stopped on the roads, not to be bribed," Saakashvili said.

According to him, it is important that no one has encroached on the most important achievement - peace and development.

The President said that he is proud that relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan are at the high level thanks to him and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
