Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the British government's adviser on security and crisis management issues, Sir Harry Johnson discussed the issues of international security.

Georgian government's press service told Trend on Sept. 15 that during the meeting in Tbilisi, the parties mulled the issues of cooperation in the areas of defense and security.

The sides also noted that during the NATO Wales Summit, Georgia took another step towards membership to the Atlantic Alliance.

Aside from that, the prime minister thanked the UK government's adviser for the support to Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and its aspirations to become a member of NATO.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Crisis Management and Security Council Mindia Janelidze and British Ambassador to Georgia Alexandra Hall Hall.
