New head of EU Delegation to Georgia presents credentials

The new head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Ambassador Janos Herman presented his credentials to Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze on Oct.8.
Following the ceremony, the sides discussed the priorities of cooperation between Georgia and the EU, the process of implementation of the association agreement and the preparations for the Riga summit of the Eastern Partnership, Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend.
"The cooperation between Georgia and the EU continues successfully and the signing of the association agreement is a proof of this," Herman said, adding that the signing of this agreement was a significant event not only for Georgia, but also for the entire international community.
Panjikidze, for her part, wished success to Herman in his work.
Janos Herman, a Hungarian diplomat was appointed head of the EU Delegation to Georgia on June 26.
