During her visit to Georgia, UAE Minister of International Cooperation and Development Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi met with Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri and discussed the cooperation prospects between the two countries.
The sides discussed Georgia's investment opportunities and the economic situation in the country, and advantages of the current legislation.
Sheikha also met with Georgian Minister of Agriculture Otar Danelia. Danelia briefed the guest on those programs and reforms that are being implemented in the country's agriculture.
"The main purpose of the visit is to review the investment climate in Georgia, Sheikha said. "The United Arab Emirates is interested in intensifying the cooperation with Georgia. Our business circles show great interest in the Georgian products. We propose to intensify our cooperation."
Particular attention was paid to the agricultural insurance, the projects of subsidizing some agricultural spheres.
As part of a three-day visit, a UAE delegation will meet with representatives of the Georgian executive power and visit several companies. The meeting will be also held with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
