Georgian Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili is on a working visit to Austria. He has already held the meetings in the Austrian parliament and the ministry of economy.
The sides discussed the trade-economic relations between the two countries and the further cooperation prospects at the meeting with the second president of the National Council (parliament) of Austria Karlheinz Kopf, the Georgian Ministry of Economy told Trend Nov. 19.
Kvirikashvili informed about the action plan for the implementation of the association agreement with the EU, including the free trade agreement and the related legal and institutional changes.
The Austrian side expressed its readiness to assist Georgia in this process.
The association agreement will be ratified in the Austrian parliament on time.
Kvirikashvili also held a meeting at the Austrian Ministry of Economy, Science and Research. The matter rested in the intensification of trade relations.
Moreover, the meetings are planned to be held in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce as part of the visit.
The Georgian-Austrian business forum is also expected to be held.
