The highway between Georgia and Russia has been closed due to bad weather.
Georgia's Department of Roads told Trend Jan. 2 that the traffic has been closed for all kinds of transportation on the Gudauri-Kobi-Stepantsminda-Lars section of the Georgian Military Road because of avalanche danger.
The traffic was also closed on the Paravani pass, which runs towards the town of Tsalka in eastern Georgia.
The movement of vehicles on other roads is open.
