Libyan leader Moamer Gaddafi on Sunday hosted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, for talks, dpa reported.
The two met behind closed doors and the country's tightly controlled government press had little to say about it, save that preparations for an Arab summit to be held in Libya at the end of March figured in discussions.
