A Palestinian woman, who was diagnosed with A/H1N1 influenza 10 days ago, died of the virus on Wednesday in the West Bank city of Hebron, a Health Ministry official said, Xinhua reported.
The woman died because of her weak immunity, said As'ad Al- Ramlawi, director of Primary Health Care at the Health Ministry. The death of the woman, in her 20s, is the first case in more than a year.
When the disease spread worldwide in 2009, nine people died in the West Bank and about 1,200 infected persons have recovered, according to Al-Ramlawi.
