Opposition figure and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohamed ElBaradei said Tuesday that he rejects President Hosny Mubarak's offer to step aside at the end of his term in September, dpa reported.
The people want Mubarak to leave, and he has "lost his legitimacy," ElBaradei told broadcaster al-Arabiya.
Like many protester on Egypt's streets, the Nobel laurate wants Mubarak to resign immediately, but it remained unclear if the wider Egyptian population would be satisfied with Mubarak's solution to the political crisis gripping the country.
