Israeli airstrike kills father, two sons in Gaza
Israeli F16 fighter jets hit a house in northern the Gaza Strip Monday evening, killing a father and his two sons and wounding 12 others, witnesses and medical sources said, Xinhua reported.
The house in Beit Lahiya town was destroyed and the father, Fouad Hijazzi, died along with his two sons aged four and two, respectively.
The airstrike damaged neighboring houses and injured 12, including other members of the Hijazzi family.
The latest airstrike increased the death toll of Palestinians since Israel began its military offensive in Gaza on Wednesday to 107, according to medical sources.
The airstrike came shortly after an Egyptian security source said Israel and Hamas were discussing a cease-fire proposal which is likely to finalize by Tuesday.
