London imposes sanctions against head of Rosoboronexport and new CEO of Yandex

Head of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Rosseti Group Andrey Ryumin, and new CEO of Yandex Tigran Khudaverdyan became defendants on the British sanctions list. The document, which on Tuesday afternoon was already replenished with 370 new individuals and legal entities from the Russian Federation, was again updated in the evening of the same day, Trend reports citing TASS.

Among the new defendants: Viktor Rashnikov, the main shareholder of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Vladimir Rashevsky, General Director of Evrokhim, Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Marina Sechina, ex-wife of the head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, political scientist Dmitry Kulikov, journalists Armen Gasparyan and Artem Sheinin, Senator Suleiman Kerimov, entrepreneur and former shareholder of Alfa-Bank Alexei Kuzmichev.

The imposition of sanctions provides for the freezing of assets in the UK and a ban on entry into the country.

The document states that sanctions are also being imposed against the Rosneft Aero company, which supplies jet fuel and refuels aircraft, and the Zelenodolsk Shipbuilding Plant.
