( Civil ) - The last trainload of Russian military equipment left the Batumi military base on November 15, almost a year ahead of planned schedule.
Originally the process was planned to be completed in a course of 2008, according to the agreement reached between Georgia and Russia in 2006.
"Despite systematic anti-Russian stance in Tbilisi's policy, we will still pursue responsible and constructive policy in terms of fulfillment of our international commitments," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on November 16.
On November 13, the 12th Russian military base in Batumi was officially handed over to Georgia, while in June another Akhalkalaki military base was transferred to the Georgian side.
