Bush: Turkey is a prosperous modern democracy
U.S. President George W. Bush described Turkey as a prosperous modern democracy, during the World Economic Forum meeting in Egypt's Sharm el Sheikh, reported New Anotolian.
Speaking at the forum Bush urged Middle East countries to make reforms. "A future in which the Middle East is a place of innovation and discovery, driven by free men and women," Bush said.
"In recent years, we've seen hopeful beginnings toward this vision. Turkey, a nation with a majority Muslim population, is a prosperous modern democracy," he continued.
