Turkish warplanes struck 16 PKK targets in northern Iraq on Thursday morning and work was continuing on assessing the damage caused, the General Staff announced.
The statement on the General Staff's Web site said the operation against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) group, launched at 0800 GMT, had been completed successfully, reported World Bulletin.
