Thirteen people were killed in a road accident at Trishal in Bangladesh's northern Mymensingh district, about 122 kms from the capital Dhaka, on Monday morning, police said, Xinhua reported.
The victims, mostly poor laborers, were traveling at cheaper cost in a cement-loaded truck.
Local police said the accident occurred when the driver of the truck lost control of the steering and skidded off the road into a roadside ditch.
Thirteen people died on the spot after they were buried under the cement sacks. The truck driver escaped after the accident.
Fire brigade and local people continued rescue operation.
