The A/H1N1 influenza has killed 83 people in Venezuela, the National Institute of Hygiene said on Wednesday, Xinhua reported.
Local daily El Nacional reported that 1,545 people have been infected with the flu since April 27.
The Venezuelan Health Ministry said there are 92 possible cases in the country.
Till Sept. 20, the World Health Organization had reported 318,925 confirmed cases in the world, including 3,917 deaths.
