Switzerland coach Ottmar Hitzfeld was generous in his praise for Spain ahead of the teams' clash Wednesday in Group H of the World Cup, dpa reported.
"Spain has a team of the century," the German-born Hitzfeld told a press conference Tuesday in Durban.
What he defined as a "five-star favourite" is an "enormous selection" of talented players who were not simply good in attack.
"They're also virtually perfect in their defensive play," he said.
Still, Hitzfeld was convinced that his men could deliver an upset.
"We've got literally nothing to lose," he said. "Within the possibilities, there's also the chance of beating Spain tomorrow. Why not?" he noted.
Earlier, Spain coach Vicente del Bosque described Hitzfeld as "an example in many respects" as a manager.
