"It is an honor and great responsibility for us - to hold a summit on high level, show the country and the opportunities to hold similar forums in the young capital," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the workshop on preparations for the OSCE summit in Astana to be held in December 2010, the presidential press service reported.
During the meeting, the President noted that much should be done to organize and hold this historic meeting at the highest organizational and meaningful level.
Aug.3, the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council adopted a final decision on holding of the OSCE summit in Astana Dec.1-2. This will be the first event of this scale and level in the entire post-Soviet space. Leaders of 55 nations, 65 international organizations, the accompanying delegations and representatives of the media outlets will visit the country.
