Spanish football champions Barcelona and AC Milan finally announced late Saturday a deal whereby Zlatan Ibrahimovic will join the Italian giants, dpa reported.

Ibrahimovic, 28, will go on loan to Milan this season with the Italians paying all of his salary, estimated at almost 10 million euros (12.73 million dollars).

At the end of the season Milan will buy the explosive Swede for 24 million euros, which is way below the price that Barca paid Inter Milan for him in July 2009.

Ibrahimovic is angry at having to leave Barcelona after just one season, and has lashed out at Barca coach Pep Guardiola.

Italian media quoted Milan vice president Adriano Galliano as saying that the Swede is to sign a four-year contract on Monday, after undergoing medical tests in Milan.

"We found an agreement with Barcelona for a one-season loan with a redemption fee of 24 million euros," Galliani said. "(It) will be paid in the three following seasons.

"We will present Ibrahimovic on his return from his commitments with his national team."

Sweden are to play two qualifying matches for Euro 2012 next week, against Hungary and San Marino.

The 28-year-old striker returns to the Italian Serie A, which begins this weekend, after his season at Barcelona. He arrived in 2004 at Juventus from Dutch side Ajax and moved to Inter Milan in 2006.

The agreement between Barcelona and Milan closes four days of tense negotiations, in which Ibrahimovic and his agent, Mino Raiola, harshly criticized Guardiola for wanting to get rid of the Swede.

Earlier on Saturday, Ibrahimovic said that "the blame for all of this corresponds to the 'philosopher coach.' When I enter into a room, he leaves. I don't know if he is afraid of me or what."

The controversial forward added that "now I am very happy, because I am leaving for Milan. I leave with motivation and force to do things better in another country."

Ironically, Guardiola only brought Ibrahimovic to Barca because he wanted to offload another outspoken forward, Samuel Eto'o, in July 2009.

The only way that Barca could offload Eto'o was to do a swap-payment deal with Inter Milan, who received around 45 million euros plus the little Cameroon hitman.

Ibrahimovic made a good start at Barcelona, scoring 21 goals in all competitions last season. But Guardiola fell out with him in the spring and in May insisted that Barca buy David Villa from Valencia, as a potential replacement for the Swede.

Online polls taken by Catalan dailies Mundo Deportivo and Sport clearly show that most Barca fans wanted Ibrahimovic to continue at the club, but Guardiola has been determined to get rid of him and has finally got his way.
