Two explosions took place Thursday in a town in eastern Ukraine, with one hitting a government building, according to a media report quoting police.
One of the blasts struck the regional office of the coal mining ministry in Makeevka, in Donetsk province, while the other occurred near a major shopping centre, police spokesman Ihor Demin told the Interfax news agency, DPA reported.
Police cordoned off the scenes and were searching for victims. The cause of the blasts were not immediately known.
