United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Monday condemned the coordinated Taliban attacks in Kabul and three other Afghan cities and confirmed his organization's support for the government of President Hamid Karzai, DPA reported.
"I condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms," Ban said during a visit to Brussels.
Next month's NATO summit in Chicago will discuss "in detail" counter-terrorism measures, while "the UN remains committed to support the efforts of the (Afghan) government to consolidate peace and democracy," Ban added.
