(ForUm) - Canada would like to deepen its cooperation with Ukraine in such areas as private-sector development and deepening of trade and investment ties because Ukraine is a special partner of Canada.
Francoise Ducros, the director general of the Canadian International Development Agency's department of cooperation with European countries, announced this during a meeting with specialists at Ukraine's state committee for entrepreneurship, reports Trend.
Ms. Ducros said that the strategy for cooperation in the 2007-2011 period would be formulated on the basis of democratic management and effective assistance policy.
According to her, the cooperation will be directed toward boosting socioeconomic development in Ukraine with of entrenching democratic transformations and civil-society values, Cabinet press office informed.
