Turkey signs deal with Kyrgyzstan, pledging economic support

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday Turkey would continue to support Kyrgyzstan in its efforts for economic development, reported Worldbulletin.

"We have taken up speed up Turkish investments in Kyrgyzstan by encouraging business and lifting up the barriers. I have made clear that Turkey was determined to support Kyrgyzstan's economic development,"

Erdogan told reporters at a joint press conference with his Kyrgyz counterpart Igor Chudinov after their meeting in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

The two prime ministers also signed a protocol aimed at implementing a cooperation program on long-term trade and business between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.

Erdogan thanked Chudinov for Kyrgyzstan support for Turkey in the election for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council.
