Turkish Cypriot Foreign Minister Turgay Avci who is visiting Qatar to enhance cooperation in the fields of tourism and trade invited Qatari businessmen to make investments in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Avci, who met with officials from Qatari Businessmen's Association and Qatar Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, briefed Qatari businessmen on business opportunities in TRNC and the incentives offered to foreign investors, said Turkish Cypriot News Agency (TAK).
Avci said their goal was to enhance cooperation with Qatar in the fields of education, tourism and other sectors.
During the meetings Avci invited Qatari businessmen to TRNC to see the opportunities on site, noting that TRNC had a policy to allocate large areas of land for large investments.
Qatari officials signalled that a delegation of Qatari businessmen might visit TRNC soon, reported World Bulletin.
