Heavy rains caused landslides and floods in the Turkish Black Sea province of Rize on Friday. 12 people are dead and one is missing, CNN Turk TV channel reported.
According to reports from the affected areas, the natural disaster has caused serious damage to residential and administrative buildings. There is no electricity or water in several areas.
Major transport links have also been damaged, including the Black Sea Highway.
Rescuers and police are working to restore road communications, the Rize authorities said.
