The gunman suspected of killing 39 people at an Istanbul nightclub on New Year's Day has been named by Turkish TRT TV channel as Lakhe Mashrapov, Sky News reports.
TRT said Mashrapov, 28, was from the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan.
Mashrapov allegedly entered the Reina nightclub in Istanbul shortly after midnight on New Year's Day where he opened fire, killing 39 people and wounded dozens more.
