Explosion in Turkey kills four soldiers

The four servicemen have been killed and the five servicemen have been wounded as a result of blowing up the military convoy in the Turkish province of Batman in the east of the country, the Turkish media wrote October 4.
It is reported that the explosion has been organized by militants of the terrorist organization Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
After the incident, the Turkish Armed Forces launched local operations to destroy the PKK militants.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has lasted more than 25 years, claiming more than 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by the UN and the EU.
