Which cities in Turkey have most active cars?

As of June 2019, Istanbul had the largest share among the Turkish cities with the most driven cars, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).

It was noted that the percentage of cars in Istanbul made up 33.2 percent for the aforementioned period.

"The percentage of vehicles during the specified period amounted to 5.7 percent in Izmir, 5.2 percent in Ankara, and 5.1 percent in Antalya," the report reads.

According to the information, the remaining 50.8 percent of cars are in other cities.

According to the results of June 2019, the number of vehicles on Turkish roads decreased by 34.9 percent compared to the same month of 2018 and amounted to 23.044 million units.

The share of cars amounted to 54.1 percent, that of vans and trucks to 16.4 percent, motorcycles to 14.2 percent, tractors to 8.2 percent, and of other vehicles to 7.1 percent.
