Turkey significantly decreases cargo transportation to Iran

As many as 6,749 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Iran in the first four months of 2020, which is 54 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
For the reporting period, 1.82 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation by trucks from Turkey accounted for Iran, the association said.
According to UND, 36 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Iran in April 2020, which is 99 percent less compared to April 2019.
In total, 369,978 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad from January through April 2020, which is 8 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
In April 2020, 79,909 trucks from Turkey transported cargo abroad, which is 23 percent less compared to April 2019.
