Steel exports from Turkey to Turkmenistan increased by 36.71 percent from January through September 2020, compared to the same period in 2019, amounting to over $88 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
In September 2020, steel exports from Turkey to Turkmenistan decreased by 39.44 percent compared to September 2019 and amounted to $7,2 million.
From January through September 2020, steel exports from Turkey to world markets decreased by 14.7 percent compared to the same period of last year, amounting to $8.9 billion.
Steel exports account for 8.2 percent of the country's total exports during this period.
In September 2020, Turkey exported $1.1 million worth of steel to world markets, which is 2.6 percent less than in the same month of 2019.
Steel exports in September 2020 accounted for 7.4 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (September 2019 - September 2020), Turkey exported steel worth $12.3 billion.
