Oil products transshipment by Turkish ports revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. A total of 12.6 million tons of oil products were transshipped through the ports of Turkey from January through February 2022, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.

Ships under the Turkish flag transported 620,615 tons of oil products through local ports during this period, and ships under the flags of other countries – 12 million tons.

At the same time, a total of 7.5 million tons of oil products was transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.

Turkish ports transshipped 66.2 million tons of oil products in 2021.

A total of 48.1 million tons of oil products were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in 2021.

The ports of Turkey handled 31.1 million tons of cargo in February 2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2million tons during the specified period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 28.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 6.2 million tons of transit cargo in February 2022.

Turkish ports handled 64.4 million tons of cargo from January through February 2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 4.6 million tons during the specified period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 59.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 13.9 million tons of transit cargo from January through February 2022.

The ports of Turkey generally handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.
