BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Turkey increased steel exports to Georgia by 2.1 times in March 2022 compared to the same month in 2021 - up to $688 million, Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.
According to the ministry, Turkey exported steel to Georgia in the amount of $49.4 million in 1Q2022, which is 97.1 percent more than in the same period in 2021.
Turkey exported $2.2 billion worth of steel to world markets in March 2022, up 48.9 percent from the same month in 2021.
"Turkey totally exported steel to world markets in the amount of $5.6 billion from January through March 2022, which is 51 percent more than in the same period in 2021," the ministry said.
Turkey has exported a total of $24.2 billion worth of steel during the past 12 months (from March 2021 through March 2022).
Turkey exported steel worth $22.3 billion to world markets last year.
