Azerbaijan is planning to create a security operations center (SOC) for data security management, a source in the telecom market told Trend Sept. 10.
The source said the SOC makes it possible to control and efficiently manage data security in real time, and be sure that the required level of security is achieved and maintained.
"The project's implementation is expected to start after receiving financing. It is envisaged that the project will involve the participants of the global data security market," the source said.
Currently, the data security level of enterprises is being assessed by the E-Security Center of Azerbaijani Communications and High Technologies Ministry.
The results of the analysis will be sent to the higher authorities.
The source said the analysis of situation shows that data security at some structures is at a critical level, which is often linked to a lack of awareness about the problems and risks.
